On the 4th, our day started early with breakfast and swimming at Jonathan's cousin Amie's house. We don't get to see all of the Meldrum's very often, so it was fun to just hang out around the pool. Mason has never been a big fan of swimming, or water in general, but for some reason, he turned into a fish at their house! He swam for about 2 1/2 hours and just laughed the whole time! Amie let him borrow a life jacket, so he even got to go off of the slide and jump off the platform into the pool! After that, we had just enough time to go to the store to pick up our food assignment for lunch, and then head to Uncle Glendon and Aunt Toni's house for a BBQ. We love to spend time with all of the Mitchell's, and it was so good to have Grammy Mitchell feeling good enough to spend the day with us!
Saturday it was back to work getting the side yard ready for concrete this upcoming weekend. Jonathan had to put the supports in, a job that he thought would take 2 or 3 hours... Unfortunately for him, it ended up taking 8!! But, now that that is done, we are just about ready for the concrete to come on Friday! I think Jonathan would agree when I say that it will be glad when this project is finished!
So, I wasn't very good at using the camera this weekend, but here are the end results of our crazy days:
This is how Mason looked on our way home on the 4th. He could barely keep his eyes open while waiting for Jonathan to get his car seat situated...
This is Jonathan and Mason after working all day to put the supports for the concrete in... This was taken at 4 in the afternoon, and neither one of them stirred while I snapped 5 or 6 pictures of them!!
